My sister and I did a little antique shopping today. One thing we found that I thought would make a great gift for my grandson was a vintage towel with trains on it. I made it into a pillowcase. He should have all the names of the trains memorized in no time. Hope he gets lots of hours of enjoyment out of it.

More sewing...
So here is the dress I made for my sister while she did some furniture refinishing for me. Turned out really cute.
Drop Cloth project
So...another project my sister and I did while she was here is make a table runner from a drop cloth. It was so easy and turned out great. Here are both we made, mine with the pleated ends and then one that was reversible with burlap and drop cloth, so cool.
Furniture redo
I've had a library table for years that belonged to my grandma. My sister came to visit this week from Iowa. We did some bartering. I sewed and she refinished the library table. It was done in th 60's with that avocado green.
Here is the new and improved Library table...what do you think?

Been doing some sewing....
Well I finished my first clothing project. I made an adorable dress from a pattern I bought from Sewserendipity.com. It is the Kimono dress. It was very easy considering this was a new venture for me. I found the fabric on sale at a local quilting shop, so I thought if I flubbed up it wouldn't be that costly of a mistake. What do yo think?
