I'v been wanting to make some cute summer dresses for my 10 year old granddaughter. I got her input with what fabric she wanted, she said animal print. So I compromised and got a pink/black leopard print and this bright summery yellow and orange floral print with her favorite design, a peace sign. I hope to get them started this weekend.

Purses
I had some left over drop cloth material from the table runner's my sister and I made recently. So I made a couple of purses. They turned out really cute. I think I'll send the smaller one to my granddaughter, its the perfect size for her. I have more idea's already about other purses and maybe even a diaper bag.
Mr Bear
I made this adorable bear and matching blanket for my daughter. She is expecting her second baby and son in just a few weeks now. But I couldn't post it until she actually got it. She lives in Iowa, so I sent it home with my sister when she was visiting me in California recently. Today they had a little party for my daughter and she got the bear. So....here he is. I made him with this adorable fabric that looks like vintage cowboys. Excuse the office supplies there in the background!
I also made a bear for my mom for her birthday back in April. I used the fabric that compliments the apron I made her for Christmas.

Crocheting again
Okay it's been a while since I've picked up my yarn and crochet hooks. Since I'm not sure yet what I want to sew next I thought this was a good time to make something with the stash of yarn I have. I found this cute top on Ravelry that I can make for the spring/summer months. I'm already on row 10, it starts working from the bottom, then up. I'm using a green 100% cotton yarn. I'll post some pictures of my progress soon.

One of my future sewing projects
This is the fabric I would like to use for the dress from Sew Serendipity. It's one of many that I love love love in Patricia Bravo's Bohemian collection at Hawthornethreads. I spend waaaay too much time looking at all this fabric.
Sewing projects
Bought some more fabric recently and was going to make a dress from Sew Serendipity but decided to make another Kimono dress. I really like the ease of wearing this, and I can dress it up for work. The accent fabric was in my stash and worked out perfect. Can't wait to wear it.
